Butterscotch Bars with Roasted Almonds

My cousin has been convincing me to bake butterscotch bars for the longest time and since it was her birthday(and my mom's too) last week(Nov.13), she asked me to bake it as a birthday gift to her.

This butterscoth bars is different from the first time that I made this. I used this recipe: Butterscotch Bars and though they liked it, I felt that it came out too dry. I think it was because of the eggs that I used. I only used 2 small eggs which made the batter too thick. Anyway, in replacement of the butterscotch morsels in the recipe, I used 1/2 cup of chopped roasted almonds instead.
